Subject: Data ( air cards )

Hello...I have a question, aimed really at Doug, but maybe others can help too. I am considering buying an air card so I can use this system mobile. I have heard others doing this, and they sound good. Air providers in this country state that " unlimited access " in fact means around 1 Gigabyte per month. How much does a system like this (or Echolink) for that matter use,say per hour ?? How often would you have to use it to use up your monthly quota? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys...Des

QsoNet uses about 1.8 KB per second = 6.5 MB per hour. If you listen to an empty channel, the flow is near zero.

One GB per month would amount to 150 hours of listening or talking.
