Subject: Transmit problems - Starwars Effect

I started with QSONET on Sat 2006 Oct 14 - everything appeared to be working ok. However, my speech (as received) sounds like an old star was voice. Secondly, my CQ100 appears as though I'm still transmiting on 14.210 MHz. according to the bar graph. If I change frequency, everything works ok, but I'm still shown as being on 14.210.

Hi Doug,

Re "Star Wars voice sounds. Mine appears to have cleared up. However, VE7CPO appears to be having the same problem!

Hi Chris. That is good news about the Star Wars. Build 181 (October 25) made a change in the way the program retrieves mic audio from the sound card. We made this change hoping to fix that terrible Star Wars Reverberation problem on a few sound cards.

I checked the server log to see what build VE7CPO is using, but there is not station registered with that callsign. If you hear anyone with this problem, suggest they download the latest version.
