Subject: K5HUM "Popnote" Discussion Group

Many of us VOIP users and CQ100 users, also run a Peer to Peer Instant Messaging Program called "Popnote" written by K5HUM. Since many people are unfamiliar with the program, I have decided to have an online discussion of the program and discuss its uses and help anyone wishing to setup the program and use it. It was written by a Ham for Hams and is a great tool for peer to peer communication.

The program is less than 100K in size and can be downloaded at Mike's web site at:
http://arc.tzo.com/ham/k5hum.php/
This is a "Freeware" program and is available to anyone free of charge.

The session will be held at 8 p.m. EST, 12/13/2006, on CQ100 3.895 Mhz. Narrator or NCS for the session will be myself, W1PI. Other hams proficient with the use and setup of the program will also be available. Ted, KC4GUE, a popnote user will also be available to the group for assistance in implementation of the software.

If you download the software, there is a help file called "pnhelp.txt". It prints out to 12 pages and I recommend you print this file out and have it available for reference. If you have any specific questions you can direct them to my email address.

Thanks, Clay, W1PI

There's a forward slash at the end of the original posted link causing it not to navigate properly.

Thanks Joe. You are absolutely correct. Sorry about that. Must have let the fingers to the walking.
