Subject: Light in S Meter

I would prefer to have the S Meter stay on when looking elsewhere. I think most of us would know when we were addressing another window. Just one opinion.

I'd like the program to stay "active" even when it does not have focus. This would allow for you to minimize the CQ100 and still use a keyboard key to transmit - much like how EchoLink works.

I am ok with the meter change as is. It reminds me when I hit my function keys and they don't work, that I need to click on my PSK program. It is a windows quirk anyway.

I Agree that the meter would be better lit at all times. Dim the
Freq display or something to indicate non-focus.
Need to see the meter plainly to adjust levels and it goes dark
when you need it.

At least in my case, the dimming of the s-meter while program does not have focus has work fine with me. Let me know at glance which program i have focus; and i can still see the meter move (just dimmed). But i am open to any other form of knowing when program is in focus and when program is not in focus, as long as it is easy to recognize.

How about something as simple as just changing the background color of the s-meter... such as green for recieve and red for transmit, something like that. Just a thought is all.
