Subject: Extra Operator Info field drops characters...

When modifying my QSONet account information, I'd like to place a website URL in the EXTRA OPERATOR INFO field. However, after placing 'http://www.mywebsite.com' in the field and clicking CHANGE, the text automatically changes dropping the '://' leaving me with 'httpwww.mysite.com'. Can this be repaired?

Since the Extra Operator Info is for screen display purposes only and not dynamic, I would suggest simply using www.mywebsite.com, as the :// info is not needed. I wonder if your url info is too long to fit into that line? Just a last minute thought, hi.

My actual web site is http://kc6uva.spaces.live.com. Some people get confused if they don't see either a 'www' or 'http://', but what you're suggesting will work fine. Also - just thinking out loud - it's probably best not to have an active link to another web site which you do not control. Thx.

We strip certain "dangerous" characters from all text entered into our database. These characters can be used by a hacker to embed malicious code or to corrupt our database. It is a security measure.
