Subject: Repeater operation

It appears that there are some repeaters operating within QSONet. I suggest that they operate only within a predefined bandspace. This would make them more distinguishable from individual stations.

Subject: Repeater - hf links

I would like to agree. I would suggest that all links to RF be limited to the 10 meter band, possibly 29.600 and up (provided there is enough room for them all), just like repeaters are limited on the real hf bands. This would be a better simulation of the HF bands and it would allow us to know what stations are RF links and what are not.

I noticed that there is a link to the KA0PQW repeater on 14.201 ! this is right next to the call freq and makes tuning in with the mouse very hard work. also as the repeater users leave no gaps in tx no one can link from cq100 to the repeater ! i tend to agree with K4FIE who started this thread.
Just my thoughts

I don't like a lot of rules, but by popular demand I am declaring a new commandment that all links move to the 29 MhZ band. I will start a new topic for links on this discussion forum.

I chatted via landline with N0BVE and WA0PQW about relocating their links. I suggested 29600 and above but mentioned there was a two meter link on 29600. I don't think they will be operating on the 14 MHZ channels after today. I also suggested that they contact you Doug about where you would like them to be if you indeed are inviting this type of operation. Hopefully you will hear from one or the other. It would just be common curtesy.

The UK 2 Meter Gateway moved from 29.600 to 29.610 a couple of days ago so as not to interfere with the "calling" frequency of 29.600. Yes, it seems that 29.600 has become a default calling frequency for that banc.

A Frequency guide of QsoNet Frequency Usage can be found at our YAHOO GROUP, QsoNet_CQ100:

I am in full agreement that ALL repeaters be confined to 29 MHz.
