Subject: Making The CQ100 Source Code Open Source

Hi everyone:

Some discussion came about in a roundtable on 14.215 virtual RF earlier tonight on the what if the source code for the CQ100 was made Open Source (Especially for those who want to tinker with it to add some stuff, look at possibly linking it to RF, etc).

What's the possibility of this happening Doug?

Just wondering....

Cheers & 73 :D

I may decide at some time in the future to release the protocol for other developers. This protocol describes the conversation between the client and the server.

The CQ100 Transceiver is written in REALbasic. The server is written in C++. The admin system is written in Php and MySQL.

Perhaps an open "Skinning" api would allow developers to design skins for the existing transceiver.
