Subject: PTT UBS microphone

I am not a computer geek - but, I'd bet that one could design a PTT hand mic that could be plugged into the USB port.

Any takers?

you need no USB for a handheld mike .

If you want a handheld mike with PTT same way we use it at a rig , when there is a simple way :

As you can PTT CQ100 by a click with the left mouse button if the cousor is onto the "PTT" of CQ100 , connect 2 wires to that point inside the mouse and then to the PTT switch inside the microfon .
Modulation same way as with a computer-mike if the mike has a build-in amplifier , if not you probably need an external little one .
My mike and my soundcard are that cheap that I need to run an external amplifier as well because the level would be too low , amplifieris between mike and soundcard , one little ic and audio works great .

I worked this way several years on eQSO as well as Echolink , no problem .
