Today I did notice something strange.
I was listening to a 7L2 stn (JPN ) on 7180 at CQ100
At the same time I was notising a "mark" on 7188, and when I did look at that "mark", it was the same stn as on 7180, but no sound
Hi OM . There are certain conditions when a ststion can appear as a "ghost " signal. I think when the internet connection briefly drops out, or a station exits the system, leaving his cq100 tranceiver in the transmit mode accidentally; this is bad practise, which can result in half the world hearing what is going on in your home !! If the station then re connects, a ghost signal can linger for a while. I hope I've explained that ok. I had this happen to me once. I now always put the mode switch to "qrt" before I exit the programme. Regards. Des.
